Russian occupiers in Nova Kakhovka capture Zhanna Kyseliova again

Russia continues to kidnap Ukrainian civilians. On June 27, 2024, Zhanna Kyseliova, a resident of Nova Kakhovka, was kidnapped from her apartment.

It is not known where she is being held, reports the Kakhoka City Military Administration.

The occupiers already detained Zhanna away in September 2022 and kept her “in the basement” for almost a month. Zhanna Kyseliova worked as a journalist before the full-scale invasion and is a member of the National Union of Journalists of Ukraine (NUJU). But as the Kherson journalist Yevheniya Virlych who continues to support the website Kavun.City in the territory controlled by Ukraine, emphasized, Zhanna Kyseliova has not been involved in any journalistic or public activities since the beginning of the full-scale war, so she has no idea why the occupiers are after her.

The NUJU categorically condemns yet another crime committed by the russian occupiers and demands the immediate release of Zhanna Kyseliova and other Ukrainian civilians held hostage by russia. We express solidarity with the hostages.
