As a result of the russian strike on the center of Kharkiv with Iskander-M missiles, the Radio House – the office of Suspilne Kharkiv and Ukrainian Radio Kharkiv – was damaged.

In the building, the windows were blown out, and the heating system, doors, and walls were damaged, according to the manager of Suspilne Kharkiv Yevheniya Kolienova.

“We made a room where journalists could work during blackouts; we just finished the renovation, and we didn’t even have time to bring in the furniture. The glass in the room is broken, and the ceiling is damaged. The heating system was damaged – we drained all the water because the batteries were torn out on the second floor. Water flowed from the second floor to the first floor,” Kolienova says.

This is not the first time that the Radio House has been damaged by russian strikes, says the manager.

“The ceiling is actually destroyed, the windows that we boarded up are also destroyed – the windows were blown out even after the first attack of the russian federation on this area, now – it’s so bad. There are no windows in my office. The ceiling collapsed in the chief engineer’s office. There is light in the building. The basement was not damaged. Almost all doors don’t close anymore. It is now dangerous to stay in this room. The rooms facing the yard were badly affected. The yard is also damaged,” says Yevheniya Kolienova.

On December 31, the management recorded the damage to the building – the police asked to collect this data, and then Suspilne Kharkiv will file a complaint with the law enforcement officers.

“We all work remotely; at the time of the explosion, there was only a security guard in the building; he managed to hide in the shelter,” Kolienova says.

What is known about the attacks of the russian federation on Kharkiv on the evening of December 30 and overnight into December 31?

The explosions in Kharkiv rang out at 18:59 — four minutes before that, an air alert was announced in the region. Six explosions were heard in the city.

Two russian missiles hit the center of Kharkiv — the Kharkiv Palace Hotel and a nearby high-rise residential building on Hirshman Street. Three hits to the ground were recorded in the Industrialnyi District.

At least 26 people were injured as a result of rocket attacks on Kharkiv. Among them are two children – 14 and 16 years old. A foreign journalist was also injured in the hotel.

According to the police of the Kharkiv Region, 12 apartment buildings, 13 private houses, hospitals, a hotel building, a kindergarten, commercial premises, a gas pipeline, and cars were damaged in the city.

At 12:58 a.m., an explosion was heard in Kharkiv, Suspilne correspondents reported. The second sounded at 12:59 a.m. Two more — at 1:04 a.m. The fifth explosion rang out at 1:14 a.m. Before the explosions, the Air Force reported the approach of russian drones to the city.

A total of four hits by russian drones were recorded in Kharkiv, said Dmytro Chubenko, the spokesperson for the regional prosecutor’s office.
