The press service of the 24th Mechanized Brigade named after King Danylo published a photo report from Chasiv Yar by a soldier of this brigade, Oleh Petrasiuk, who recently won the Photo of the Year award from the EPA Images Awards.

As previously reported, the head of the press service of the 24th Mechanized Brigade named after King Danylo of the Zakhid operational command of the Ground Forces of the Armed Forces of Ukraine (AFU), Andrii Polukhin, received a special award, Press Officers Are Important from the National Union of Journalists of Ukraine (NUJU).

The awarding ceremony took place in the central office of the NUJU in Kyiv.

“We receive good feedback from civilian journalists whom Andrii Polukhin accompanies to the front line, helping to organize filming. It was a great honor for me and my colleagues to shake his hand,” noted NUJU President Sergiy Tomilenko.

The NUJU Information Service also recalled that the Union‘s team recently initiated a journalist collection for cars for the AFU and already handed over one of them to the press group of Andrii Polukhin, who is on assignment in the Donetsk Region.

“Thank you for the important work!” in the person of Andrii Polukhin, Sergiy Tomilenko thanked all press officers of the Ground Forces of the AFU for interaction and cooperation with civilian journalists who objectively cover the topic of the russian-Ukrainian war and regularly work on the front lines.

And here is a new creative success of representatives of the combat brigade, which belongs to the Zakhid operational command of the Ground Forces of the AFU but performs its assigned tasks in the hottest spots in the East of Ukraine.

According to the Texty.org.ua portal, Oleh Petrasiuk, a soldier of the 24th Mechanized Brigade named after King Danylo, received recognition for his impeccable creativity in the zone of active hostilities with the occupiers. It won the Photo of the Year award from the EPA Images Awards!

“Any Ukrainian city that is attacked by the occupiers is destroyed. Chasiv Yar, unfortunately, was added to this tragic list. The enemy is shelling the settlement with all possible types of weapons, hitting with heavy flame-throwing systems of the Solntsepok type and guided aerial bombs. The 24th brigade is holding the city and does not allow the invaders to advance further, massively destroying their infantry and equipment,” told about the circumstances of the creative and combat work of the servicemen of the unit of the 24th Mechanized Brigade of the Ground Forces of the AFU.
