Lina Kushch, the First Secretary of the National Union of Journalists of Ukraine (NUJU), has received an important award – the award of the Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces of Ukraine (AFU), Oleksandr Syrskyi, For Assisting The Army.
The award was presented by Bohdan Senyk, who was recently appointed acting head of the newly created Main Communications Directorate of the AFU.
He noted that this award demonstrates that the General Staff of the AFU appreciates the contribution of citizen journalists to the defense of our state. After all, the work of the media is not only informing society, but also powerful support of our defenders, highlighting their heroism and countering enemy propaganda.
“Lina Kushch‘s award is a recognition of her personal contribution to the establishment of effective interaction between citizen journalists and the army,” stressed the President of the NUJU, Sergiy Tomilenko. “This is the result of many years of cooperation, mutual trust, and professionalism. At the same time, this is an assessment of the work of the entire team of the National Union of Journalists of Ukraine, which works tirelessly in this difficult time for the country.”
Sergiy Tomilenko singled out the work of Bohdan Senyk, whose long-term contribution to the development of AFU‘s public relations system deserves the highest respect. Bohdan Senyk has great authority both among press officers and military personnel.
