The co-working space of the Zaporizhzhia Journalists’ Solidarity Center (JSC) of the National Union of Journalists of Ukraine (NUJU) continues to work despite the stabilizing power outages in the city. There is electricity, internet, a generator, as well as all the necessary office equipment for journalistic work.

“With blackouts, it is difficult for journalists to plan their work, so we always try to meet our colleagues. Here, for example, we were contacted by Valeriya Kostiantynova, a journalist from the Novyny Pryazoviya newspaper. We provided her with a full-fledged workplace,” says Valentyna Manzhura, the Zaporizhzhia JSC coordinator.

“Today, according to the schedule, there was no light in the first half of the day. And during this period, I had to record experts for the program. Due to the lack of light, I would not be able to record anything. Therefore, I called Valentyna Mykolayivna [Manzhura], and she organized a comfortable workplace for me. It’s good that the city has such a platform for journalists, which will help out during power outages,” Valeriya Kostiantynova said.

Call the Zaporizhzhia JSC at 096 277 5352 (Nataliya Kuzmenko and Valentyna Manzhura, the Zaporizhzhia JSC coordinators). The Center’s address is 152 Sobornyi Avenue.
