In the Sumy Region, the newsroom of the Ridnyi Krai newspaper and the homes of journalists were damaged as a result of the nightly russian strike by the shaheeds in the center of Buryn, Sumy Region.

“The City Council promised to provide chipboard to block the windows. We are waiting now,” said Liudmyla Maznova, the editor-in-chief of the newspaper, told the National Union of Journalists of Ukraine (NUJU).

She added that, despite the consequences of the strike, the newsroom is working because today is graduation day, and the newspaper must be published on time.

As reported by the Konotop District Military Administration, today, February 4, at 00:35, as a result of the fall of a Geran-2 type UAV (Shaheed-136) in the central park of Buryn, windows in three residential buildings and one educational institution were damaged and broken.

About 200 windows were damaged, including up to 25 windows in an educational institution, said the head of the Konotop Regional Emergency Management Agency, Pavlo Dudko. All necessary services, the headquarters for the elimination of consequences, employees of Buryn City Council, and the team of the Prolisok non-governmental organization are working at the scene. The energy infrastructure was not damaged. The consequences of the hits are being recorded.

No casualties among the civilian population were reported.
