At Ukraine’s Side, Always is an initiative aimed at helping internally displaced persons and vulnerable strata of the local population. Among the activities that will take place within the scope of the project, food will be provided to displaced persons living in shelters, which are under the care of the archdiocese. In addition, the St. Luke’s Clinic will provide free packages of medical services for women, children, the elderly, and people with disabilities. Vulnerable segments of the population, including single mothers, internally displaced persons, and low-income families, will be able to use the diagnostics.
In the Center’s co-working space, Italian benefactors got acquainted with its work, projects, and initiatives aimed at supporting and helping journalists during the war. They also learned about the activities of the Ivano-Frankivsk regional organization of the NUJU.
During the conversation, the guests were interested in the experience of supporting media workers, in particular those who live in the border and front-line regions of Ukraine. Italian partners had a good opportunity to talk with students and journalists from among IDPs who have been temporarily living in the Ivano-Frankivsk region since the beginning of the full-scale war and learn about their needs and problems.
Speaking about the main goal of the projects, Giorgio Zelikovic noted that the most important thing is the desire to help people so that tomorrow, they have the opportunity to help others.
The JSC coordinator, Viktoriya Plakhta, addressed the guests, thanked them for their support, and assured of active bilateral cooperation in the implementation of joint initiatives to help people in need.
The Ivano-Frankivsk JSC continues to actively implement the Partnership For Victory project, aimed primarily at helping displaced journalists and media workers who are in the war zone, in the front-line, and de-occupied territories.
