Since the beginning of the full-scale war, Mykola Synelnykov, a photographer from the city of Kamiyanske, Dnipropetrovsk Region, has taken photos of many destroyed sports facilities of athletes training in gyms ruined by the war. Mykola Synelnykov participated in many exhibitions, including international ones. His pictures are known all over the world, and he strives to show them to as wide a circle of people as possible. The purpose of his striving is to show everyone what the war in Ukraine is like in the language of pictures.
He told about this in an interview with the journalist of the Visti Prydniproviya newspaper handed over to us by the Dnipro Journalists’ Solidarity Center (JSC)of the National Union of Journalists of Ukraine (NUJU).

Mykola Synelnykov is a sports journalist and reportage photographer, a member of the NUJU, and a member of the Association of Sports Photographers of Ukraine. He was born and now lives in Kamiyanske, Dnipropetrovsk Region. He documented Russian crimes in eastern Ukraine on behalf of the Reuters agency. He took protective equipment for trips in the Dnipro JSC of the NUJU. His photo album STOP WAR containing photos of sports facilities destroyed during the war, was included on the TOP 10 list of the prestigious AIPS Sport Media Awards.
