Donors, politicians, and other concerned parties have been asked by organizations that represent or provide assistance to Ukrainian mass media with a request for long-term financial support for Ukrainian media.

The National Union of Journalists of Ukraine (NUJU) is one of the signatories of the document called White Paper [Bila Knyha].

In order to ensure the transition of Ukrainian media from simple survival to long-term viability, a comprehensive strategy is proposed. It includes innovative financing mechanisms, prioritization of local media, creation of a constructive favorable environment, professional development, and improvement of media literacy.

Long-term financial support for Ukrainian media would meet their needs in adapting to the changed media landscape, providing critical oversight, promoting public activism, ensuring media pluralism, and protecting against media capture.
