A broad meeting is being held at the Lviv regional organization of the National Union of Journalists of Ukraine (NUJU) with the participation of the Union’s President Sergiy Tomilenko; the head of the Lviv regional organization Yaroslav Klymovych, the head of the Volyn regional organization Mykhailo Savchak, the head of the Rivne regional organization Dmytro Tarasiuk; and the head of the Dnipropetrovsk regional organization Oleksii Kovalchuk and local media.

“We consider today’s meeting an opportunity to jointly discuss how to combine efforts to make Ukrainian regional media more resilient. How can we strengthen each other? What are the reserves and international support? And in general, what are the prospects for media,” noted NUJU President Serhii Tomilenko.

Also, during the meeting, presented will be a study of the needs of local newspapers in the de-occupied and front-line territories, conducted by the NUJU with the support of the International Institute for Regional Media and Information (IRMI, Ukraine) and the Swiss Fondation Hirondelle.
