UNESCO Kyiv Liaison Officer Chiara Dezzi Bardeschi, announced UNESCO‘s intention to provide approximately 200 more small grants for Ukrainian journalists and journalistic organizations during a meeting with the team of the Journalists’ Solidarity Centers at the central office of the National Union of Journalists of Ukraine (NUJU).

She emphasized that UNESCO highly values the activities of journalists, thanks to which Ukraine and the entire world community learn about what is happening in the context of the war.

Chiara Dezzi Bardeschi thanked the NUJU for the partnership that allowed UNESCO to expand its activities aimed at supporting journalists in Ukraine. She added that UNESCO has already supported 160 journalists through the Journalists’ Solidarity Centers and intends to scale up the work in this direction.

In particular, Chiara Dezzi Bardeschi announced the provision of another 200 small grants to journalists and journalistic associations so that they could continue their professional activities.
