The National Union of Journalists of Ukraine (NUJU), in partnership with Fondation Hirondelle (Switzerland) and the International Institute for Regional Media and Information (IRMI, Ukraine), invites you to participate in the webinar titled Grant Activities for Local Media set to be held on February 29 at 2 p.m. on the ZOOM platform.

The speaker is the editor-in-chief of the Intent online publication (https://intent.press/) and a member of the NUJU, Valerii Bolhan.

The interregional edition, Intent, focuses mainly on the Mykolayiv and Odesa Regions. Valerii Bolhan has considerable successful experience in grant applications and projects. Therefore, the webinar plans to consider the following aspects of successful media grant activity:

  1. Political independence, media transparency, and impartiality in materials are important prerequisites for participation in project competitions.
  2. Partnership (networking, collaboration, exchange of resources, and best practices).
  3. Training and potential building.
  4. Recommendations for finding and successfully submitting grant applications.
  5. Innovative approaches in the media and strategies for attracting the audience.
  6. Long-term stability, ability to adapt.

The Strengthening Media Sustainability In Ukraine project is implemented by the Fondation Hirondelle and IRMI and funded by the Swiss Solidarity Foundation.
