The Vorskla newspaper from Velyka Pysarivka, Sumy Region, has a lot of experience in the struggle for survival since the infamous COVID times when publications were printed and distributed by all available and almost inaccessible means. Now, here, they have learned to survive under shelling and during hours of blackouts. During the shelling, they sit at the table farthest from the windows and continue to prepare the material so that the newspaper with fresh news reaches the reader on time. And when they turn off the lights, they take a laptop and go to Sumy, if they haven’t turned off the electricity there.
And now, there is a new experience of communication with the reader: the ability to draw attention and offer an extraordinary move. The editor-in-chief of Vorskla, Oleksii Pasiuha, said:
- “The section topic is new. The promotion is time-tested! Starting from the new year, the Vorskla newspaper is launching another new section. Its working title is Interesting Stories About Pets. By the way, the winner of the mini-competition for the best name of the new column will receive a prize from the newspaper. Another condition for receiving a prize is a subscription to our magazine in print or electronic form. The printed version is distributed throughout the Sumy Region, and the .pdf version is distributed throughout the world. We want to remind you that there is a permanent promotion: Pay For Vorskla Subscription For A Countryman. Within its framework, compatriots from outside the Velyka Pysarivka District transfer funds for their friends, relatives, loved ones past and present, and just strangers. We already have several activists among such subscribers. Residents of the Velyka Pysarivka district can also become participants in the campaign. Like for example, Nataliya Zhevnovata subscribed to six annual sets of Vorskla for her compatriots.
