Recently, journalists from the We Are Ukraine central TV channel, Olena Kaptiukh, and Dariya Zyrianova, visited the Zaporizhzhia Journalists’ Solidarity Center (JSC) of the National Union of Journalists of Ukraine (NUJU). The two journalists needed to record a video interview, and for this, they chose the coworking at the Zaporizhzhia JSC. After all, there is everything for comfortable work here – computers, a printer, a scanner, a camera, a video projector, chargers, as well as light, communication, the Internet, and, of course, a comfortable atmosphere for the creative process.

“We work constantly, so to speak, “on wheels,” so it is very, very convenient when there is a place to come and record an interview at any time. The center has the Internet and everything you need for the so-called “picture,” there is space to arrange a full-fledged filming process. Therefore, I am very grateful to the Zaporizhzhia JSC,” says Olena Kaptiukh, a journalist of the We are Ukraine TV channel.

Journalists of local, regional, and national media constantly use workplace, technical, and advisory assistance at the Zaporizhzhia JSC. You can also rent protective equipment here. For quick contact with the Center‘s employees, there is a contact phone number – +380962775352, e-mail, and a page on the social network Facebook.

The network of Journalists’ Solidarity Centers is an initiative of the National Union of Journalists of Ukraine, implemented in collaboration with the International and European Federations of Journalists and UNESCO and with the support of the People of Japan. Our primary goal is to assist media professionals working in Ukraine during the war. The Centers are active in Kyiv, Kharkiv, Zaporizhzhia, Dnipro, Lviv, and Ivano-Frankivsk. The project is part of UNESCO’s broader efforts to support the Safety of Journalists and Freedom of Expression in Ukraine.

Call the Zaporizhzhia JSC at 096 277 5352 (Nataliya Kuzmenko and Valentyna Manzhura, co-coordinators of the Zaporizhzhia JSC). The Center’s address is 15 Sobornyi Avenue.
