The Kyiv organization of the National Union of Journalists of Ukraine (NUJU) has more than 3,500 member journalists. Among them are employees of radio, television, news agencies, and newly created channels.

This is a young, zealous generation of journalists who record history and cover the events that surround us every day. But there is another part of our community; it is our treasure, journalists of the older generation. We owe the best traditions and union’s achievements to them, our mentors, who devoted their lives to the service of truth, goodness, and truth. Many of them were born during the Second World War. Now, at the end of their years, they happen to re-live the horrors of war. It is our duty to help and support them both morally and materially.

Today, more than ever, we must unite and not lose sight of every member of our society. The NUJU and the Ukrainian Food Banks Federation provided 20 food kits for journalists of the Kyiv journalistic community who need them. With gratitude, such support was received by colleagues who temporarily lost their jobs and have minor children to support, journalists who did not voluntarily move from the East, driven by the war, and older people with special needs who are unable to provide for themselves.

Ukrainian Food Banks Federation provides assistance in all regions of Ukraine, carefully selecting food kits, and ensuring the daily needs of families.

The Kyiv organization of the NUJU is sincerely grateful for the support in this difficult time.

Thanks to the spirit of Ukrainianism and its genetic and spiritual morale to do Good. Thanks to carelessness and willingness to offer a helping hand to those who need it.
