For the third time, explosive waves blew out the windows in the apartment of the journalist of the information holding Nashe Misto from Dnipro, Daryna Sukhonis.

“The previous destructive [missile] hits took place on March 9 and August 15. It would seem that we are already used to it, but today’s shelling is the worst that has occurred in Dnipro since the beginning of the full-scale invasion,” Daryna said in a comment to the NUJU this morning. “Here, I look out the window – everything around is on fire. Black smoke… Ambulances… Bodies on the streets…”

As earlier reported, as a result of a missile attack on Dnipro, a maternity hospital, a shopping center, and nearby residential buildings were damaged. It has been reported about five killed and 15 wounded people.

“When it happened, we were going to the gym for training, shops had already started working… I am glad that under such circumstances, I and my loved ones survived. There are many apartments with broken windows,” said Daryna Sukhonis.

Nataliya Nazarova, the coordinator of the NUJU Journalists’ Solidarity Center (JSC) in the city of Dnipro, says that the center has been closely monitoring the consequences of the missile attack since the very morning.

“We constantly remind our colleagues that if they or their property suffers from russian strikes, they should contact us immediately,” says Nataliya Nazarova. “The National Union of Journalists of Ukraine always finds an opportunity to help in such cases.”

The President of the NUJU, Sergiy Tomilenko, emphasizes that today’s mass attack on Ukraine causes outrage because the victims are civilians.

“We express our solidarity with the residents whose homes were damaged. Thanks to the help of the Danish Union of Journalists provided to the NUJU, we have the opportunity to provide emergency assistance to journalists-victims of russian attacks,” Sergiy Tomilenko emphasizes.
