Zaporizhzhia journalist Iryna Kramarenko says that feeling colleagues’ support and professional growth means journalistic solidarity in action

Iryna Kramarenko is a young journalist from the Accent portal who attends events at the Zaporizhzhia Journalists’ Solidarity Center (JSC) of the National Union of Journalists of Ukraine (NUJU) because, according to her, she always finds interesting information here, and fruitfully communicates with colleagues.

After one of the meetings with war journalists, she worked directly in the co-working space of the JSC in order to quickly send information to the site.

It was here that a few months ago, Iryna Kramarenko was accepted into the ranks of the NUJU.

“To be with colleagues in difficult wartime, to feel their support, to improve professionally, and to work together for victory is journalistic solidarity in action,” said Iryna Kramarenko, explaining her decision to become a member of the journalistic creative community.

The Journalists’ Solidarity Centers is an initiative of the NUJU implemented with the support of the International and European Federations of Journalists and UNESCO.
