The newsroom of the Verkhovynski Visti newspaper, Ivano-Frankivsk Region, was visited by guests from the Sumy Region. They were the editor-in-chief of the Bilopilshchyna magazine/honored journalist of Ukraine, Nataliya Kalinichenko, and her husband Yurii, also a media person. They told their colleagues about how the struggle continues on the information front in the Sumy Region, in the immediate vicinity of russia’s borders.

The Bilopillia City Community is adjacent to the borders of the aggressor, and the center of the community is some ten kilometers from the border of the epicenter of world evil. Teaming up with the editors of the Peremoha newspaper from the village of Krasnopillia, Sumy media workers publish a joint special issue of newspapers called Spilnopillia every month.

Nataliya Kalinichenko also talked about editorial problems, especially in the area of under-reforms of Ukrposhta, untimely delivery of newspapers, and reduction of subscriptions due to the “attack” of “numbers.” At the same time, colleagues agreed that the best times for local newspapers are still ahead. After all, a conscious Ukrainian strives to receive, first of all, quality and truthful information, which the World Wide Web cannot always boast of.

The main task today, as noted by Nataliya Kalinichenko, is to promptly and uncompromisingly repel information spills from the enemy and extinguish the emotions of local collaborators.

Call the Ivano-Frankivsk JSC at 066 677 0726 (Viktoriya Plakhta, the Ivano-Frankivsk JSC coordinator). The Center’s address is 25 Sichovykh Striltsiv Street.
