It is designated to help media professionals better prepare for risky assignments, says the European Federation of Journalists (EFJ) website. The presentation of the platform took place during the final conference of the Safety4Journalists project on World Press Freedom Day in Brussels.
The tool was developed by security experts who have experience in training journalists, media workers, and media managers.
Journalists who fill out the form receive individualized advice that quickly reduces the risks they may face during a specific assignment and quick response mechanisms. They can also visualize these risks and download templates.
The safety guide offers additional in-depth information on various topics (working in conflict zones, persecution for work, etc.).
