The TSN and 1+1 Marathon camera crew — journalist Oleksandr Motornyi and cameraman Pavlo Borysko — came under russian shelling, as a result of which the cameraman received multiple shrapnel wounds and a broken leg, the TV channel reported.
The incident occurred on the morning of February 4 while filming a story about the work of Ukrainian UAV operators at positions near Vovchansk.
Pavlo Borysko was filming the launch of the next drone and was next to a crew member. At that moment, they were attacked by an enemy drone.
Fortunately, the wounded were quickly evacuated from the position.
We believe in a speedy recovery and hug Pavlo, his family and our entire team. Thank you for your work! Everything will be Ukraine!
We recall that attacks on journalists in conditions of hostilities are an international war crime. However, according to the National Union of Journalists of Ukraine (NUJU), since the start of the full-scale invasion, the russians have killed at least 18 journalists in the line of duty. Other nine fell victim to missile attacks.
